gift guide {luxurious stocking stuffers}
Sometimes the best things really do come in small packages and when it comes to stocking stuffers that is definitely the case--or at least I think it should be. Unpacking them has always been one of my favorite parts of Christmas day and I know I would love any of these small but luxurious trinkets in my stocking this year....

After all every girl needs something that comes in a perfect orange hermes box, a timeless chanel scent, a colorful accent on their desk, a coffee table worthy candle and a classic piece of jewelery. What are the luxurious necessities that you are craving this season?

gift guide {for the gals under $54}
This year my friends and I are doing a girls gift exchange with a set price limit, so I have been looking for cute gifts that are of a reasonable price. And I know that I for one would be thrilled to be receiving (or giving) any one of these:

(emersonmade clutch for $38, linda and harriet paper flower pin for $24, teapot from anthropologie for $48, susyjack* cartlettes for $8.50, apron from anthropologie for $38, j.crew slippers for $54, lucia organic chai soap for $11)
Would love to know what cheap(er) chic gift finds you have!

gift from the kitchen
There have surely been times when hosting a dinner party that people ask for your recipe (well, I have only been asked once and it was for this pad thai recipe). However, instead of simply giving them a print out, sending a URL or providing a photocopy of the recipe wouldn't it be so much more lovely on one of these very sweet recipe cards from the petite press.

What is the one dish you make that makes guests ask for the recipe?

{eco-friendly} gift guide
There is surely someone left on your holiday shopping list that would appreciate one of these eco-friendly gifts. It really is amazing how stylish sustainable design has become!

(sea bag, hemp pillow, reclaimed metal disc bowl, klean kanteen)

(plaid bodynamic blanket, meyers holiday collection, boodalee pillows, night owl calendar)
You can also go one more step and wrap them with this adorable eco-friendly wrapping paper from wrap natural:

practical christmas list
The adorable Miss Aimee over at Mostly Mod posted about her practical Christmas list this morning and asked fellow bloggers to do the same. I have to say it was quite hard to differentiate the items that I want versus need but was able to come up with four:

(1) Kiehls Abysinne cream, as the Wyoming winters (and winds) do a number on my skin and this is the only product I can find that combat them.
(2) I also need some everyday gloves, like these from J.Crew since ski gloves are not always the best just for a trip to the store.
(3) Ok, so black Cole Hahn flats may seem like they should fall into the gray area between need and want but as I no longer have any suitable everyday black shoes they are definitely a need this year.
(4) Lastly, I am ALWAYS in need of simple studs, like the ones below from Banana Republic.
What items are on your practical Christmas or wish list?

gift ideas {for the epicurean}

(1) Magnetic Whale Tongs from MoMa- museum stores are great for unique present ideas!
(2) My favorite olive oil for taste and presentation from Armando Manni.
(3) Beautifully designed coffee pot from Fortnum Mason (unfortunately this specific product is only available in the UK!)
(4) What kitchen maven doesn't love Emilie Henry bakeware? I especially liked this new artisan ruffled pie dish.
(5) Never will you have to manually grid again with these fun Electronic pepper and salt mills.
