workspace inspiration {suzanne kasler}

Oh Monday, how quickly you came! It would have been so much easier to pry myself from the bed this morning if this was the office space I was headed too. It is the lovely and bright office of one of my favorite interior designers, Suzanne Kasler, as featured in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles.

sleek + sophisticated {home office}

It is on sunny and warm days like today that I wish I worked at home and could easily sneak out to my deck and lounge in my adirondack chair. However, my office would have to be spectacular enough to get me back inside. Perhaps a sophisticated one like this one with its high gloss black paint, unique moldings and adorable mirrored tables would do to trick!

the beauty of botany

Today I will out of the office enjoying one of the perks of my job, our annual work ski day. However, when I am back in the office tomorrow I may just grab thumb tacks and start pinning up the pages of botany books on my walls.

It has been a hectic week and I feel like I haven't had a moment of rest. I am really wishing that I could just work from home today to catch up on life and hang out with my dogs. However to actually stay focused at home I think I would need an amazing home office and any one of these would do just fine!

office space envy {jay jeffers design group}

My office has great natural light and an amazing view of the mountains but it is nowhere near as inspiring as the workplace of Jeffers Design Group. Their office is housed in a 3,800 sq. ft. industrial space and as you would imagine is beautifully decorated. I would definitely be anxious to get the office every morning is this is what awaited me...

And would gladly carry on long meeting with co-workers for hours in this lovely nook...

And I don't think I would count down the minutes 'til five if this was my desk...

And I would even be late for meetings just so clients could spend a little extra time enjoying the lovely reception area.

There is something just so stunning about the warm colors and the luxuriously draped fabrics against the concrete. Oh well, back to reality.

Sorry to have been so absent from blog land the past few days but I have been spending every minute preparing for a large event that took place last night. The event went wonderfully but I am now completely drained. I promise to be back to normal posting tomorrow.

{bright+white} home office envy

Good Morning! My parents have the most amazing home office--it is in their beautifully renovated hayloft (part of the house used to be a barn) and has a huge picture window (which used to be the hay doors). It makes me long for one as equally as fabulous and light filled. Anyone of these bright and white spaces would be just fine with me.

Ok, well I thought I would be able to sneak in a proper post before I had to head off to this workshop for non-profits that I am attending on "surviving tough economic times" (I am the Director of Development and Communications of a land conservation organization--can't remember if I have said that before) but unfortunately the morning has run away from me. Oh, and speaking of work, I have a new dream job--the Creative Director for Kate Spade. Mostly because I think that their new creative director, Deborah Loyd, is one of the most stylish people out there! serene {office} space

It is one of those days when I have so much to do at work that I don't even know what to do next which is why it has been quite the random smattering of posts today. I am testing a new theory, maybe posting my current ideal workspace would help me actually get some of it done? Ok, it is a long shot...

I just love the serenity of the all white space with those perfect lavender and taupe touches. I think the only thing I would change is to add a pillow to that chair-doesn't look overly comfortable. Ok, time to tackle that last press releases and grant report on the to do list!

Sorry for the light posting today. I am completely bogged down with work. Working in fundraising/marketing right now is definitely a little stressful with the current economic state of affairs! I think it would be a little less so if I had this work set-up:

I am really loving red accents at the moment. It is just such a bold and happy color. I was always told that as a blonde I could pull of red but to be honest I look horrible in it. So, my home will have to wear it for me instead--or better yet my office.
