serene gray + hydraganeas

Wow, what a day (week and month too actually) it has been! Feel like I have been on overdrive and planning event after event. I am in need of a little escape and would love to have come home to work to a home full of serene gray and dried hydrangeas.

Instead I am coming home to a house that needs to be cleaned and will be spending my evening arranging flowers for an event tomorrow.

pretty in pewter+texture

I have had quite a few talks lately with friends regarding color and pewter grays seem to dominate. I am not surprised, as in the past couple years it has become a very popular hue in both fashion and interior design. I am currently loving these tones look when mixed with rich textures and bold patterns.

serene palette {soft gray + taupe}

The soft gray and taupe palettes of these rooms are definitley soothing to my eyes after a hectic day of work. The perfect transition to a quiet and relaxing evening...

event inspiration [april showers bring may flowers]

It has been a while since I have had the time to put together an inspiration board and I thought it would be fun to try and translate the idea of "april showers, bring may flowers" (which I told myself everyday in April) into a color palette for an event. And the result is a soft palette of cool blues, soothing grays and the palest of pinks. I think is just perfect for a spring or early summer affair.
