south of the border
Do you like this story?
emiliano godoy is a mexican industrial designer with degrees from pratt and the danish design school. i decided to catch up on his work after seeing a postcard of his lying around at some design show awhile back...and there's some cool stuff up on his site right now. i suggest givin it the old once over if you've got some time...
i'm most intrigued by his precisely tabletop collection, which consists of a series of cutlery and plates that come slotted together, for precise matching. it's perfectly wonderful. along with the precisely collection is the uber-cute sweet disposable collection, comprised of small objects (like lighting and candle holders) made of sugar: 100% biodegradable. very cool. so go check him out- the man makes things out of sugar for goodness sake, come on....
CUT UP [precisely tabletop collection*godoy] i love this. so, well, precise.
SWEET STUFF [sweet disposables collection*godoy] melt away candl holders and lamps. so cute and so perfectly disposable.
