knit wit
Do you like this story?
i spent my evening last night surrounded by lovely knitting ladies who also enjoy my favorite guilty pleasure show, america's next top model (ok, so maybe it's tied with the apprentice and the swan, i happen to have a very high tolerance for crap television). the whole night was a blast, from stumbling through my first attempt at a scarf (score- grace: zero, knitting: three) to calculating exactly how many cookies equalled one cream puff from a carroll gardens bakery. but, what i learned was- design can be the most enjoyable and inspirational at the personal and grassroots level.
from ready-made magazine to programs like the make workshop (thanks missy!), it seems like do-it-yourselfers are in heaven these days! so, go make something- experience design on a personal level and create something that makes feel happy and proud of yourself! you could be the next big thing waiting to happen! have fun!
KNITTY BITTY [knit clutch*margaret nicole] i love this. if only i could learn to make it...
