Firefighters, Cops Picket Leggett's Home

BURTONSVILLE, Md. (WUSA) -- Unionized public safety workers picketed the home of Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett, demanding he abide by collective bargaining agreements that conflict with Leggett's budget plans for the coming fiscal year.
Leggett's budget calls for the workers to contribute more toward their health and pension benefits.
"We go into negotiations with the county executive, bargain in good faith with him. He signs the agreement but then does not live up to his end of the agreement, but expects us to live up to our end of the agreement," said Jeffrey Buddle, an executive of the firefighters' union.
