Modern Warmth in the Mountains
Do you like this story?
I am not a huge fan of modern architecture but living in a mountain town that prefers overbuilt log homes to sophisticated style it was refreshing to see that a local architecture firm (Gilday Architects formerly Tobler Dunker Architects) was able to combine western sensibility, warmth and modern style to create this beautiful private residence (and thankfully without lodge pole pine):

I love the combination of glass and stone-it really grounds the house while also allowing bright open spaces. The landscaping perfectly mirrors the balance of this concept.

I love the white marble and the inviting fireplace.

Talk about a kitchen made for entertaining (3 ovens!). Again, I love the use of white marble especially against the stainless steel appliances.
