the habitat hotel
Do you like this story?
i don't normally post about conceptual projects, or things that aren't available for the general public, but i really enjoyed this project and wanted to share it with you guys. architect, enric ruiz of cloud 9 architecture created the "habitat hotel" (a working scale model) for the exhibition "new spanish architects" at the moma. aside from being a stunning structure, the hotel has an "energy mesh" wrapped around it that has inidividual "nodes" that collect the sun's energy during the day and at night gives off a specific color according to the amount of energy collected. the hotel isn't in production yet, but you can enjoy the concept and some additional images right here. enjoy!
