tart
Do you like this story?
tart (short for "table art") is a wonderful online source for gorgeous tableware. definitely in the "splurge" category, these aren't pieces you necessarily buy on a whim, but are more likely pieces you invest in (for most of us, at least). i fell for a few of tart's 5 piece sets (each around $195 a set) from bodo sperlein that, if i had more disposable income, i would definitely buy.
bodo sperlein, purveyors of all things beautiful, designed a gorgeous 5-piece series called "wing" that has a beautiful black and white feather on each piece. if it weren't $195 per set i'd consider it- oh well, to dream. if wing isn't your style, check out "hortensia" (what a name), an equally beautiful (and equally priced) setting that is marked with a beautiful cranberry red floral pattern. so, so lovely.
and lastly, bodo sperlein's white textured four piece set ($226) is another wonderful design that would make dining a seriously classy experience. i'm a sucker for clean white dinnerware anyway, but that subtle raised dot pattern is just divine. so, if you're looking to invest in (or just browse) some beautiful dinnerware, check out tart's site for the best of the best. enjoy!
