blast from the past
Do you like this story?
whenever i walk into work at hg i feel overwhelmed with a sense of history. the walls are covered with huge (huge) blown up photographs of old covers and spreads ranging back to the 1940s. some of my favorite photos are from the 50s- i love imagining what life would have been like if i was expected to maintain a home like some of these. they're stunning, but in some way completely surreal in their perfection. i just wanted to share some of my favorites, which you can buy right here if you're interested. i've always wanted to buy the one with the woman on the bed wearing headphones- it's so gorgeous. the photos aren't super cheap ($180-$1500) but they're fun to look through as a mini-tour through the history of interior design.
