biz ladies: the morning after
Do you like this story?
there are few moments in my life that i can remember being really and truly speechless, but last night at the business ladies meet up i walked up the stairs and found myself at a loss for words. surrounded by a room packed full of over 80 talented women i had to jolt myself out of shock and pick my jaw up off the floor. thank you thank you thank you to everyone who attended last night, to dwr for being incredibly gracious hosts (thank you, korneel!) and to rena and everyone who helped out with snacks, planning and support (and thank you for your city harvest donations- we have over 200 pounds of food to donate!) after a few hours of talking i think nearly everyone went home with a handful of business cards and i've now heard that there are two small groups already formed and ready to meet in a few weeks. in addition i've heard people are talking about collaborations, teaming up to do websites and promotion and, if nothing else- i think everyone walked away with some new friends who will be invaluable as people get their businesses off the ground. i can't tell you how thrilled i was to look around and see so many amazing women genuinely helping each other and making great contacts. i hope you all made it home safe and sound- thank you again for coming.
