Do you like this story?

designer patricia urquiola's work is far too impressive to limit to one post, so i thought i'd add a bit more on her...
born in oviedo spain, patricia worked closely with achille castiglioni and eugenio bettinelli both at the polytechnic institute in milan as well as the ENSCI in paris. after working as the manager of the lissoni associati design group (for cappellini, cassina, kartell and others) patricia started designing pieces for groups like kartell and b&b. now working out of her design studio in milan, patricia is fast becoming a design star in the tradition of karim rashid and frank gehry. her collections at milan this year garnered significant press and made sure all eyes were on this phenomenal talent from milan. patricia's work for b&b this year (the gorgeous sectional sofa) highlight her love of form, while her kartell and moroso showcase her mastery of color. each of her pieces bears the mark of a designer who clearly has hit her stride and is destined to become an even bigger star in the future. for more information on patricia and her work, check out architonic's product page. enjoy!
