SAFE: design takes on risk
Do you like this story?

some really beautiful and though-provoking objects from the moma's "SAFE: Design Takes On Risk" exhibition are now on sale at the moma store. i love the "bullet-proof rose"(made of heavy-duty ballistic nylon) and the "billy b. padlock". not the most practical things, but i just can't help like them.
SAFE highlights, "contemporary objects designed to protect body, mind, and soul". each item is, "designed to protect from dangerous or stressful circumstances, respond to emergencies, ensure clarity of information, and provide a sense of comfort and security. they address real and perceived security without sacrificing innovation and design". cool idea. more info here.
