alissia melka-teichroew, a native of the netherlands, received a design degree from the design academy in eindhoven and risd. her work is clever, creative and above all, beautiful. i'm a big fan of the tree trunk stools, folded plates, clever faux diamond (acrylic) rings and the "it's all in the box" project, which starts out as a box-like object and unpacks to reveal a table and stools. her work is extremely imaginative and i think she's going to go far- very very far. i'm always thrilled to see amazing female designers. see alissia's full collection right here.
