renegade craft fair!!

hear ye, hear ye, one and all- i have a wonderfully exciting announcement to make: the third annual renegade craft fair is almost here!! hooray! the renegade craft fair is an edgy D.I.Y. event showcasing a ton of the coolest crafts from all over the country. sue blatt and kathleen habbley came up with this event after searching for venues to sell our own stuff. they couldn't find anything that appealed to them...other fairs seemed too stuffy...so theyjust decided to start their own. now they're in their third year and touring to other cities.

this year's (ny) fair will be held in brooklyn on saturday + sunday, june 25 + 26 from 10:30 am - 5:00 pm, in mccarren park (which is located at n. 12th st and bedford ave). ( there's also a fair in chicago this fall, sept 24 and 25 in wicker park!)

why should you go and what will be there? well, first, diy, independent design is fantastic- there are a TON of amazing designers out there who deserve some recognition. what can you find? well, you'll see all sorts of cool crafty stuff...knitting, jewelry, sewn items, paper goods, silkscreened items, woodworking, comics, zines, cosmetics...you name it! can't beat it!
