hiveminddesign

i finally found some better pictures of the pieces hiveminddesign showed at brooklyn designs 05. while i'm starting to feel less than enamored of the whole deer/hunting aesthetic (seen all over williamsburg right now), i still love all of hivemind's work.

hivemind's stag mirror is elegant and makes a nice design statement without taking too much away from it's original purpose- to be a mirror. the rune series (consisting of a table and bed) is solid, heavy, beautiful wooden furniture. a bit big for my tastes, but great nonetheless. i also really love the rose bench- it'd be nice to see this in a museum instead of the standard black leather variety you see everywhere these days. the rose is such a nice detail. you can find more info on hiveminddesign right here (and be sure to check out their cute "genuine" magnet board. simple and cute- i have one and i love it.
