adopted sponge child
Do you like this story?

did i mention that i met john and lara of velocity art and design? did i? because if i didn't- i must be mad. john and lara were unbelieveably patient and tracked me down at icff on monday so we could meet in person. imagine all of the wonderful-ness and happiness and creativity in the world...now imagine it residing in two people. yup, that's john and lara. they were nice enough to walk me around the show, show me some of their favorites and let me stand in awe of their incredible taste and general velocity-awesomeness. in another life i think i was their adopted 23 year old sponge child. they're just so great (i promise to take better pictures of them and post them- i'm the world's worst photographer).
john and lara walked me around and i got to introduce them to the lovely miss stephanie of molo design (who gave a wonderful speech, i hear!). after that we cruised by the giant upholstered gorilla of lift design (no, john, you don't need a child as an excuse to own one, it's just that cool) and caught up with the people from natura murals. all in all, john and lara made my show the happiest yet- it was a pleasure and an honor to get to meet them in person. their dedication to design, the discovery of new talent and general wonderful-ness make them number one in my book. thanks again guys- it was so, so wonderful to meet you.
