movin' day....
Do you like this story?
well, in honor of my itty bitty move this weekend, i thought i'd post some furniture that has "moving" at the heart of its design. while thinking about how i'm going to pack up my little sponge life and move it into ac's house until we find a new place, i found myself wishing that all of my furniture had wheels on it and could survive the bumps and bruises of moving. turns out a british design team has heard my prayers and answered with a sweet collection of durable and portable furniture.
q-style has introduced a new range of products that evolved from the company's experience designing industrial storage systems and flight cases. lightweight yet tough, the q-style collection provides a number of durable storage solutions for you and your soon to be moved goods. however, the containers are chic enough to be used in your house, post-move. i've always loved furniture on wheels and find it makes living in a small apt much more enjoyable. i mean, when you have the option of rearranging things at the drop of a hat, life is fantastic. i'm partial to q-style's style cabinets (a perfect way to toughen up your office gear), coffee cubes (super-cute mini-tables) and trunk boxes (an especially interesting way in which the ottoman has been reimagined). they are a bit on the industrial side, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. i mean, i wouldn't go filling my house with airline-style storage containers, but i think a choice piece here and there would look super cool. accents of airline chic are always hip, so....why not? you can find more information about q-style here. have a lovely weekend, i have to run off and pack so i'll see you monday!
xoxo,
d*s
