modern kids
Do you like this story?
kid stuff used to be bright, plastic, boring and above all, tacky. but in the world of design, there's always room for a new niche. modern design for kids has been around for awhile and sites like modernseed have lead the way in making hip kids' furniture readily available. some of my favorites are the flenstead mobiles and, something i just found on alphabets nyc's site- the kaleidoscope house (although it is also available at modernseed). designer doll house for kids with sliding interchangeable color walls designed by laurie simmons with peter wheelwright. it comes fully furnished with a family of four, art collection, furniture, and accessories designed by contemporary artists. can't be that- play away kids!
