the beauty of bettencourt
Do you like this story?
bettencourt woodworking has, for some time, been making striking designs in their brooklyn studio. you can find their unique pieces in the collection at the future perfect, or at their website. i happened upon a project of their called ottomans, in which they had several designers take on the classic furniture piece and design their own unique cover. the results were stunning and http://www.thefutureperfect.com/worth a look. i was suprised to find that jamil, a friend of a friend, was one of my favorite designers in project (yeah jamil and yeah missy!)...
bettencourt is primarily known for their woodworking and a phenomenal line by carlos salgado and bart bettencourt called scrapile. i fell in love with scrapile tables and chairs at the future perfect, but you can browse for youself and order them at the future perfect or online, here.
be it an ottoman or a scrapile bench, you can't lose. bettencourt has a phenomenal collection and their designers continue to produce gorgeous works that employ unique materials and creative design processes. go check them out for yourself here.
support local (and independent!) artists!
