clearly cool

i like things i can see through. seems like most contemporary designers do too. check it out. fun. neon. clear. cool. note the neo-baroque coming through...a welcome change after seasons obsessed with bent plywood and minimalism.

SEE THRU [2.4 chair*some design] some design really came through with their 2.4 chair. what it lacks in comfort it more than makes up for in style. 

BOO [ghost candelabra*jon russell] i saw this at icff and fell in love. so clearly cool. i love the nod to victorian and neo-baroque aesthetics. love it! 

WAZZUP [mapell chairs*waazwiz.com] yeah i know. i should be slapped for that, but i couldn't resist. the company is seriously called waazwiz. these chairs are great. so simple but so stylish. i'd take one in each color for a home office or hip kitchen. 

NEON DINING [marie luise tableware*driade] crazy neon pvc placemats and coasters. at the conran shop uptown and certainly worth the subway ride. clear dayglow anything is awesome, especially when it involves adding victorian decorations to clear placemats. 

FUN BATHROOM FIXTURES [acrylic medicine cabinet*dornbracht] makes the bathroom look fun. why not?
