that's right, i'm a princess

my old governor's school (and then college) roommate, ariel, used to call me a "beach princess" (i used to dress up a lot, and at smart kid summer camp, that looks like you're trying too hard), while i found it to be a rather inaccurate description of me, i thought it would be a great lead-in to a post on the princess vase from serralunga (debuted at this year's milan furniture fair). while it's wildly expensive (over $500, ahh!), it's still nice to look at. such nice, soft curves and subtle leaf patterns. details: oversized vase made from a lightweight thermoplastic that is weather and UV resistant and virtually unbreakable. more info here.
